The beach that I frequently visit in Martinique

The beach that I frequently visit is none other than Anse Figuier, located in Rivière Pilote.

Rivière Pilote is a French name given to a community in Martinique, a French island located in the Caribbean, that is also referred to as The French Antilles. The term Rivière Pilote in English actually means " The River Pilot". Wierd right?

                                                  About the Island.

Martinique is known for its bougainvillea flowers. This Island has some unique and radiant plants and flowers. She is the flora of France among all the French islands. The spoken language on this beautiful Island is French, but they also embrace and speak their Creole tongue. The locals refer to it as their mother tongue, ' langue mama nous'.

This beach is one of the best beaches in Martinique that I have been to. It is said to be approximately 11.8km (7.3miles) long. And let me tell you, I have been to quite a few beaches in Martinique. A lot of the beaches in Martinique suffer from an exhaustion of Sargassum. That one family-friendly, beautiful, and serene beach is a must-visit. Available on this beach are bathrooms, where you may use toilets and external showers to rinse the sea salt off your body. I do not know if it is just me, but that beach is always filled with locals and visitors alike.

Furthermore, this beach scenery is to die for; it is so beautiful that you would want to stay there throughout the day and immerse yourself in the calm sea waters, or relax under the sun and take a sunbath. If sunbathing is not your thing, then do not worry, there are enough shades under those beautifully shaped trees.

oh wait! There is something for the kids. There are floating water parks in the water, but mostly on weekends and holidays, which makes some sense, because kids have to be in school on weekdays. Do not worry about meals and drinks because there are several restaurants to choose from, including cool vendors. Sometimes, there are fun entertainments like a DJ band performing or simply a "tamboo" session performed by locals.

There is a mini bar on wheels in the photo below that provides a wide variety of cool smoothies, all made with locally grown pineapples. I ordered a pineapple-mango smoothie, which was comprised of freshly chopped pineapples, of course, coconut milk, and freshly chopped local mangoes; he then blended it with some ice. He garnished it with cocoa powder, flower, and some chopped pineapples. Creativity combined with a beautiful presentation makes the experience worth the time and every penny that you spent getting there. And let me tell you, it was one of the most delicious pineapple drinks that I ever had.

To continue, Vendors were selling their creative, handmade bags and accessories. It was so beautiful, sadly, I did not get any photos of the products.

                                                   Parking.

Accessing the beach by vehicle is not a problem. There is enough space to maneuver your vehicle. The road is in good condition; however, parking may be a bit tight sometimes, because of the vast number of visitors that flood this beach area. If you want the best parking, try to get there as early as possible, but anytime during the day will do, as vehicles are always moving, because people come and go all day long.

I do hope this post provides you with as much help as possible.

Au revoir!
