- Friday night.
Gros-Islet 'Friday Night' is one of the most popular events in St. Lucia. 'Friday-Night' is a street party in Gros-Islet every Friday night. The street is always filled with attendees from locals, regionals, and international tourists alike. The vibrant DJ music fills the entire atmosphere, while the food and artistic vendors display their skills and fill the air with the scent of their magnificent local spices that they use to prepare their dishes. There is always a wide range of fresh or cooked Lambi (conch) to choose from. Every vendor has a different way of preparing such a delicacy in St. Lucia, from grilling to kebab-style or stew. There are plenty of Restaurants and Bars to choose from, with local cuisine to fast food and à la carte menus.
- Dennery's Fish Fiesta
The second most popular event, like the 'street-party' of Gros-Islet, is Dennery 'fish-night' or 'Fish fiesta'. This one takes place in the Dennery Valley every Saturday night. While Gros-Islet displays a wide variety of choices like pork, beef, chicken, and turkey, Dennery displays its catch of the day, from fish like red snapper, lambi, lobster, etc.

- Carnival
The best time to travel to this Island, if you are looking for fun, is during Carnival season. It is a must-experience. That festivity presently takes place in July, normally from the 1st to the 22nd. However, it was not always during that month, though. It is a very successful event, it attracts people from all over, like the other Caribbean islands, the French Antilles, international tourists, and Celebrities from England and the United States of America.
Calypso is the first to start the festive season. Calypso is a type of folk song that local artists compete on the grand stage until one is selected as the king of Carnival. He or she performs their hit song during the main event of Carnival.
Inaddition, a beauty pageant that is called ' Carnival Queen' takes place to select the queen who will appear during the main Carnival event.
- Jounen Kwéyol
Last but not least is 'Journen kwéyol', in English it is translated to 'Creole Day'. Creole Day is always on the last Sunday of October each year. This day is to celebrate the culture, heritage, language, and history of the people. The celebration begins on the first of October, meaning the Creole way of life begins. The national dish is prepared frequently, the madras is worne and the language is spoken everywhere, including the workplace among the staff. Street vendors display different types of handmade bags and fashionable clothes made of madras and sack material, which slaves used to wear. During the month, festivity is in all corners of the island. Hotels, Airbnb, restaurants, and bars all celebrate the culture and heritage, but the main event is on the last Sunday of October.
