L'église Montmartre de Balata, also known as Église du Sacré-Cœur de Balata. It was my husband who suggested that we visit L'église Montmartre de Balata. It was very interesting because I had never heard of such a church, and it forced me to research the one located in Montmartre in France. He went on to give me the history and connection to one of the largest cathedrals in France, also known as the Basilique de Montmartre. The story and history behind it are unknown to me, but it seems of great importance to the residents of the Island and France. In my research, I discovered that the structure of Basilique du sacré-coeur de Montmartre looks ancient, artistic and unique. It draws a lot of people from all over the world, making it a tourist attraction. To have a mini version of this church in Martinique, which is also a part of France, gives great importance to the residents and deep meaning.
